LONGARM MACHINE QUILTING

I offer edge to edge quilting in three price categories that are based on the density of the quilting as well as offering custom and heirloom machine quilting.

My turn around time runs from four to 12 weeks depending on the type of quilting you choose as well as the time of year you want your quilt done. Custom work often takes closer to 12 weeks because of the amount of work that is involved in choosing, marking and then quilting the top. Edge to edge has a much shorter turn around time because thee is no marking required, just following the design and stitching it on to the top. During the holiday season which begins late September through December, turn around time can become longer due to the increase in work that needs to be done. If a quilt is needed for definite Christmas delivery, it should be dropped off no later than the end of October. After that time there is no guaranteed Christmas delivery.

All quilts are done in a first come, first serve manner. There is no being moved to first in line as this is not fair to the other customers that have waited their turn. You may call and book your quilting appointment in advance if you desire a specific return date. By doing this your appointment will hold your place in line even though the quilt is still with you, but the quilt will have to be to me by the appointment time and the appointment will have to be made far enough in advance to have an open spot on the calendar for your quilt.

Preparing quilt back and top -

Please have your top pressed and backing fabric pressed and the backing fabric seam running the width of the quilt. If you want me to prepare the backing there will be an additional charge of at least $20. Please do not piece the backing with the seam running the length of your quilt. If you do I cannot stretch the quilt so the sides will not ruffle which creates wrinkles in the top when it is quilted.
